As an industrial mechanic and electrician at Firenor, you will work on assembling and building fire suppression systems for international clients. Our systems include comprehensive solutions for distributing and dosing firefighting agents, complete with pipe systems, valves, instrumentation, and control systems. Working closely with colleagues from various disciplines, you will contribute to building and testing completed systems before they are transported and installed on offshore platforms.

Your main workplace will be at our workshop in Kristiansand, but the role also involves some international travel for service assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out the installation and inspection of multidisciplinary systems, with a primary focus on mechanical components.
  • Travel internationally and offshore for service and installation assignments.
  • Prepare documentation and confirmations in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams at Firenor.
  • Work closely with external clients and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant trade certification (preferably as an industrial mechanic or mechanic or as an electrician).
  • DSB approval or eligibility to apply for approval (foreign applicants can apply through the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB)) Electrical safety

 

  • Experience in industrial or offshore environments is preferred, though other mechanical experience may also be relevant.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral, and must be willing to learn Norwegian
  • General proficiency with IT systems.
